Lots to Love 14 Inch Baby Doll Bib
I have been targeting left over yarn bobbins and balls from previous projects to finish off making doll projects this year.
I hadn't thought about this yarn being from an actual baby blanket and thus even with an H hook the bib was quite a bit smaller than the size I use for the JC 16 Inch Baby doll. However, while this bib normally doesn't fit the Lots to Love 14 Inch Baby Doll when made with the suggested worsted weight it worked well with the lighter weight yarn. The contrast yarn is also left over from the baby afghan.
This is a free pattern set I've used for years. While I use Melissa and Doug's Time to Eat Kits for the donation the free pattern includes a food jar and spoon you can make for the baby doll. You can find the free pattern here.

Barbie Sleeping Bag
Last year I started with a theme of getting all the dolls prepared for the beach. This year I put Adoring Doll's Camping pattern for the 18 and 14 inch doll on my Christmas pattern list and it inspired me to think about how the other dolls could get into the spirit this year.
I was thrilled to find a quick and easy sleeping bag pattern that I hope to adapt for all the Barbie dolls here.
This pattern used worsted acrylic yarn and an I hook. The pillow requires a small amount of stuffing to give it firmness. I had to add some rows to get it to the length suggested but because she gives you not just the number of rows but the length you should get to it made measuring the pillow and the bag easy.
I will need to make it shorter for her sisters and longer for Ken so this is a good sample of the size I want. There are camping sets currently on the market for Barbie. Some have sleeping bags others focus on different accessories but this is a free easy to make accessory for those who want one.
This was another great project for using up left over yarn. I'm coming my scaps to decide which yarn to use for the rest of Barbie's family to make sure everyone has a sleeping bag to take with them when they leave for the donation next December.

Lots to Love 10 Inch Baby Doll Moses Basket
The time has arrived to begin the 2023 Doll Donation and I decided to start with an item that didn't make it into the 2022 doll donation. My hands started to have pain after making the large moses baskets and I never got around to making one for the Lots to Love 10 Inch Baby Doll.
This was a great starter project for the year. The yarn for the Moses basket is yarn I had targeted last year to finish off. With this project I'm down to two small balls and it will finally be gone from my stash.
I normally use lighter weight sport yarn for the doll blanket but I really wanted to finish off some yarn bobbins I had left over from a previous project and the blanket retired them all nicely and even dug into a large ball I had left over from another project.
I'm thinking of using a smaller hook for the other two smaller baby dolls as this carrier would be a little large for the Lots to Love 8 inch or the Lil Cutesie doll.
The Moses basket pattern comes from Annie Potter Presents Sweet Baby Doll Layette leaflet that can be purchased here
I used 2 strands of worsted acrylic yarn and an H hook. I added rows to the side to have a higher side to prevent the doll from rolling out. I also chose after making the second handle to make the handle first and then sew it on as I found it easier to get the alignment I wanted when it wasn't crocheted first. I tend to think the attachment is stronger when crocheted on but it is also at a more awkward angle.
The blanket pattern is part of a free set for the ten inch doll found here. I used a J hook even with the heavier yarn and it worked well for the blanket.

Gnome Snowman Ornament with Cocoa
I fell in love with this pattern when I was searching through the designer's gnome patterns. I saw it as a perfect Christmas ornament and as with the previous ami in order to make it to ornament size I reduced the size by using Aunt Lydia's and Red Heart Size 10 Crochet thread and my Tulip Etimo 1.25mm crochet hook.
For those of you interested in the pattern or other adorable gnome patterns you can purchase the pattern here.

Dog Christmas Lovey
I made a bear lovey the last time I did a Christmas lovey so I wanted to do something a little different this time. With the dog ears the Santa theme I used with the bear just didn't feel right so I decided I'd go with a free dog lovey pattern you can find here for the ami portion and make a granny square lovey portion in holiday colors.
This was a great chance to use up yarn I had left over from previous doll and afghan projects. It's always nice to finish off the left overs of projects of the past.
I've started the first doll project of the year. I'm working on a doll carrier for the Lots to Love 10 Inch Doll. I try to start the year including some of the projects I failed to complete the year before. Last year I focused on Barbie because I didn't get much done for her. Every year one doll group does better than the other. It is just the way it works.
I've been chasing sales and found the Melissa and Doug Feeding Sets on sale for the doll donation. While I'm going to make the doll carriers for the small dolls I've decided to purchase the carriers and the diaper bags for the larger bags. I found the Melissa and Doug Diaper Bag for the Lots to Love 14 Inch Doll. It feels good to be able to get some of this stuff put away for the 2023 donation.

Snowman Gnome Ornament with Tree
My Advent box was delivered so now it is time to catch up on my posting. I wanted the kids to have items to enjoy before Christmas as they will have plenty on Christmas day. The ornaments seemed to take longer than I thought they would. I had the first snowman finished early so I thought I was doing well. However, as life often does other things came up and the snowmen took longer to make than I had anticipated.
This is an ami pattern I adapted for my ornament project this year. You can purchase this pattern here.
This pattern is made using sport cotton yarn which I didn't have in my stash and I was also hoping to make it slightly smaller for use as a Christmas tree ornament. I went with a combination of Aunt Lydia's and Red Heart size 10 thread's and my Tulip Etimo 1.25mm hook.
For my own records along with the ornaments and a lovey for the youngest this year the package went out with:
LEGO DUPLO Town Santa's Gingerbread House 10976
Calico Critters Mr. Lion's Winter Sleigh

Doll Donations 2022
I started this project last year and I found it was very helpful to keep track of what items I had made, who had sent what items and when it came time to deliver making sure I had all the items sorted properely to go to the school.
So, I decided to keep this going into 2022.
