Hello! What a helpful blog, thank you. Can you tell me if the pattern is available for the little Graduation Owl at the top of the page please. This little owl is just gorgeous. Thank you for your help, I have someone graduating this year who loves owls.
Sorry, the bear photo is mine and the pattern is noted. The owl is a flickr photo and I am not sure the owner even has the photo listed any longer to ask he/she what pattern was used. From what I have researched there are limited free patterns available. As soon as I find them, I keep listing them. The only owl I have located is the crochet Lion Brand one I have listed. The picture looks as if it was knitted. I have not located any free knitting patterns, yet. According to the people visiting here, graduation items are a popular search. If I find one I will list it.
I did find the pattern, but it is not a free one. It is from Jean Greenhowe's Knitted Animals. You can see the picture and the book on her website and I suspect the book is available from other resources as well.

Hope that helps.
Thank you so much! My daughter graduates at the end of this year and of all things she asked for, it was for me to make her a little owl in a graduation outfit. I love this one. I appreciate your help.
Glad I could help.
