American Girl Doll Loomed Shawl

I have been trying to find creative ways to use looms to add projects to my doll donation project. I decided to experiment with a shawl. I started with a few stitches on the blue knifty knitter loom and kept increasing to create the shawl. It took a few tries. The tie was crocheted. I know you can knit ties, but I crochet faster than I could possibly do an I-cord. It was a chance to see how my body is adjusting to crochet and I had no pain doing the chains.

American Girl Doll Loom Knit Hat and Scarf

I wanted to get this posted last week, but it did not happen. This is the hat and scarf set made with the blue knifty knitter. While I am looking forward to returning to my crochet hook, I am appreciating the things I can make with my looms for the doll. I have a doll shawl and scrap blanket to post that I have finished for my donation project. It was nice to be able to continue with my goal even without my crochet hooks.

American Girl Doll Loom Knit Hat

I'm pleased to say I finished my hat for my donation doll. The blue knifty knitter is perfect if you want to loom knit a hat for your 18" doll. You can follow the basic knifty knitter hat directions or try your own alternate style.

I started a matching scarf on the blue loom. It doesn't work quite as fast as crocheting, but since I have more time to go before I can resume crocheting, it is keeping me busy and I'm still producing items that will add to my donation project.

If my skills really improve I have a sweater pattern I bought ages ago that I would love to try. I have a long way to go before I get there, though.
