Easter Ornaments

This first ornament was a bonus pattern from a Crochet Calendar.

I mentioned last month that friends have a business with a year round tree that we decorate. These are the Easter ornaments I added.

Cowboy Ducky:

I used size 3 crochet thread and a b hook to get this to ornament size. The original pattern calls for DK yarn and a 3.5mm hook.

Not sure what the availabity of this pattern is at the moment. No longer available on Etsy but it is listed on Ravelry for purchase here.

Eggheads Ornaments:

I bought this pattern years ago when Crochet Village had its own website. However the designer has moved to Etsy and the pattern is available for purchase here

I used the suggested G hook for these with worsted weight yarn.

I folded the beak to make it fit the head better.

Little Miss Maisy

I went through my Easter Ami binder and came across this pattern that is available for purchase here.

Easter Peeps

This was a Crochet Calendar pattern and it worked really well for my project.

Eggs:

These were made using a pattern from Amigurumi World Seriously Cute Crochet Ana Paula Rimoli. This book is no longer in print. I used the suggested hook but I'd make these smaller in the future.

Hugging Heart Couple

I rarely end up making things to decorate my own house. However after making the Hugging Hearts to send out with the Valentine's package I couldn't resist making the original boy and girl couple for my own Valentine's decorations. They really are adorable shelf sitters.

As I wrote about before the pattern for these is part of My Silly Valentine available from Crochet Village on Etsy here. I bought this set back when Crochet Village had their own website. However, while I've used this pattern regularly over the years, this holiday has certainly been quite the revival for it. It has provided patterns for most of my Valentine projects.

This has been a great scrap project. I have lots of red and pink balls of yarn left over from various doll and Christmas projects. This is a great way to dig into those and finish some of them off.

It seems strange that I'm writing this in mid January and I'm already done with Valentine's day projects and moving on to St. Patrick's Day. A good sign. I hope I can continue to stay ahead on both the gifting and the charity side.

Easter Bunny in Overalls

After Easter, I was still in the mood to make some Easter projects. I like having the chance to get some made in advance and stored for next year. I did not have a chance to get to Crochet Village's Easter Bunnies and Duckies before my Easter box went out. So, it seemed like a good project to tackle.

I love the overalls. I am working on the Ducky who is also going to be wearing overalls. He should be finished soon. After that, I have a couple of birthday projects I need to focus on so it is time to move on from my Easter projects for a while.

Polar Bear

I finally finished and posted the polar bear from Crochet Village's North Pole Resident's pattern set. I love the body part of the bear, but I think next time, I will use a different hat pattern. I was not as happy with the brim of the hat as I would have liked. I have the penguin finished and ready to photograph and post, along with the Humpty projects I have been writing about for a while now. I really like the way Humpty came out and would make another one.

I contacted the woman regarding my Christmas donations projects. I have to box them, but the doll clothes and toy food should be going out sometime this week. I hope to post a picture and a thank you to all the people who helped.

I have completed all the ornaments I need to mail and am scrambling to finish the last two crocheted items I want to include in my Christmas boxes. My December birthday box is gone and two other Christmas boxes have been mailed. Now comes the scramble to finish, wrap, and mail the items before the deadline.

Crow

I had great ambitions for getting my Halloween projects posted last month. However, given a choice of finishing and mailing them on time or getting them posted, I will take getting them to the kids.

This was a fun project and is part of Crochet Village's Fall Visitor's pattern pack. It worked up quickly and while it is being used as a toy, I hope to eventually have one to use as a decoration.
