Crafting is fun for all ages and interests. This blog evolved from researching resources for friends and articles I write as a freelance writer. It is a place to share the information I discovered. Please feel free to leave comments and questions. I am always looking at new projects ideas for family and friends in areas of my own abilities and theirs. Barbie Sleeping Bag
I finished the 2025 Barbie Sleeping Bag right before Halloween and it posted in early November. I finished the 2026 one before Thanksgiving and its posting in early December. I'm targeting these projects so they don't end up being rush jobs at the end of the donation season. That wasn't how I wished to finish the year but it did give me an idea of how to multi-task and do the projects I most enjoy while still getting the other items done as well.
This is one of Suzie's free sleeping bag projects found here. I combined it with her Beanie bag one found here for the texture. The original pattern uses only sc and while effective is a bit dull to make. Adding the shells makes the project a bit more enjoyable and adds a nice texture to the bag.
Notes:
This project requires an I hook.
It is the same skein of yarn I used for the 2025 sleeping bag and I think its Red Heart Perfect Pink.
