Crafting is fun for all ages and interests. This blog evolved from researching resources for friends and articles I write as a freelance writer. It is a place to share the information I discovered. Please feel free to leave comments and questions. I am always looking at new projects ideas for family and friends in areas of my own abilities and theirs. Kelly Colonial Crochet Outfit
Most Kelly crochet patterns are written for thread. This eliminates them as possibilities for me to crochet them. When I found the free Kelly Halloween Cat Costume pattern and it worked I realized I had a pattern that might adapt into a dress.
I changed from Red Heart worsted weight yarn to Red Heart Sports Yarn. Adding increases created the skirt. For the most part, I followed the pattern established in the Betsy Ross Barbie pattern and it created a style I liked.
Kelly has big hair so I did not need to reduce the pattern for the cap. I used sports yarn and made the cap pattern found in Barbie pattern.
