Crafting is fun for all ages and interests. This blog evolved from researching resources for friends and articles I write as a freelance writer. It is a place to share the information I discovered. Please feel free to leave comments and questions. I am always looking at new projects ideas for family and friends in areas of my own abilities and theirs. Santa Elephant
I ran across Redheart's free Elenora Elephant Ornament pattern while working on their free Safari pattern last year. I didn't see myself needing an elephant ornament, but I kept it in the back of my mind for future reference. Looking at Elenora, I thought she could easily be transformed into a Santa elephant without much effort.
To change the legs and the arms it was a matter of changing colors and yarns to get the Santa look. The jacket required a little more shaping and it wasn't quite what I wanted. I think to work in this size, I'd probably have to go to thread to get it to be what I really wanted. The hat came from an old Barbie pattern.
