Crafting is fun for all ages and interests. This blog evolved from researching resources for friends and articles I write as a freelance writer. It is a place to share the information I discovered. Please feel free to leave comments and questions. I am always looking at new projects ideas for family and friends in areas of my own abilities and theirs. Aztec Wishes 2025 Donations Have Been Delivered!!!
It is with great joy and gratitude I announce the 2025 Aztec Wishes donations were delivered Thursday. It has been a bit of a crazy year but some of the changes I made actually worked well and I hope to keep them for next year.
We had some family stuff to manage during Thanksgiving so we packed all the dolls as they were finished and this was so much less stressful than packing them all at once. The dolls were ready for delivery before we left for Thanksgiving and it was one less thing to worry about coming back to manage. Something to keep for next year.
With the help of all my crochet elves we topped last year's numbers and had 24 boxes to deliver. Some amazing volunteers from our church came with a pickup truck to help us with the delivery. Our Toyota can no longer hold it all.
The high school students who manage this drive were really impressive this year. They were engaged with the reality of the donation and what it meant to the kids they could help. That made me feel good. One of the reasons I do so love this charity is that it not only helps the little ones who get the dolls, but it helps the high school students understand how to see the needs in the community and how to start helping.
Drop off day is always one of my favorite days of the year. It inspires me for the next year. Life is a bit more challenging at the moment but do to an incredible donor I have all the dolls in their bags for 2026 and I've already started making clothes and accessories for the dolls.

Aztec Wishes 2024 Donations Have Been Delivered!!!
It is with deep gratitude I announce that the 2024 Aztec Wishes Donation has been delivered!!!
This is our 13th year donating and we have already started on year 14!
As I packed the boxes, I was truly amazed by how many wonderful items we had collected for this year's donations. A big thank you to my friends at Crochetville for all your hard work, time, and energy you give to this project each year.
It is always one of the things that the high school kids are surprised at each year that people not just from their district or state but from across the country reach out to help them with their donation project. It is healthy for a high school kid to be involved in charity work and very important. When we can support that effort, we help them to realize we believe their efforts are important.
I mentioned last year that we thought 19 boxes was the car's limit. This year I had to stay home so DH could use the passenger seat to cram in a total of 22 boxes of dolls and clothing and 4 additional 18-inch dolls we put in trash bags to transport them to the school. If my helpers continue at this rate, we will need to recruit an additional driver for next year as the Toyota has maxed out its limit. Not the worst problem to have. All of you are amazing in your generosity and talent.
The families will be getting the gifts on Thursday. Ours are only a small part of the multitude of items they provide for the families but we do provide a valuable unique offering. I find these drop off days, even when I can't be present continue to motivate me to want to do more.
Aztec Wishes 2025 is already underway for me. I was able to pick up some dolls on sale during Black Friday sales. This weekend I will restart the donation bags and inventory what I currently have on hand for 2025 and future donation years.

Aztec Wishes Donations 2021 Have Been Delivered
I am so thrilled that the tech high school is back doing Aztec Wishes for 2021. While we were able to donate directly to the charity last year working with the high school students makes this project so much more fun.
Secondly I want to send out a THANK YOU to all my friends at Crochetville for their thoughful and creative donations that make this project work. I am always blown away by their generous hearts and sprirts as they donate to this project. I also had a kind new Blogger join the efforts from Canada this year and I send out a thank you to her as well. This is a tough year for many families and we made Christmas a little brighter for a few children. Thank you all.
We packed 16 boxes into my husbands car. He's decided 16 is the cut off point before items get pushed to the next year's donation. Once again thank all of you who donated and on to 2022!!
