Lots to Love 14 Inch Baby Doll Baby Bib

I finished this project back in December but with the holidays and updating computer equipment it never got documented.

It is worth celebrating as with this project I'm done with baby doll bibs for the 2025 donations!!

I discovered a few years ago that the free bib pattern I use for the larger 16 inch baby dolls really doesn't adapt well for the smaller 14 inch doll. I purchased a series of Annie's DVD pattern collections several years ago and one of the pattern sets on there was Needlecrafts Sweet Cuddles 971016 by Sandra Miller Maxfield. The set is for making a 15 inch doll with clothing. So far I've just been using the bib. Since I didn't buy the pattern it came as part of a collection it was a unplanned bonus.

I just need one more diaper for the 16 inch dolls. I feel like getting all these diaper bag items done before the New Year has been a good start for the donation year.

Now that I've finished the wipes I'm moving on to the doll bibs.

Last year when I finished making the 16 inch baby doll bibs I realized the free pattern I used was too large for the smaller Lots to Love doll so I went searching through my patterns to find something else to try. I'd downloaded the Needlecrafts Shop's Sweet Cuddles 971016 leaflet from the Annie's Doll DVD that I've owned for years and found with a few added rows it is a good fit for the doll.

Notes:

I used worsted weight yarn and a g hook for this project. The trim was from another yarn bobbin I'm trying to finish off.

I mentioned in the previous Rag Doll Post that I'd been searching the Annie's Doll DVD Rom for new patterns and come across the Needlecrafts Shop's Sweet Cuddles 971016 leaflet that I adapted to make the sweater for that doll outfit.

While I was there I noticed a pattern for a baby bib that might be my solution for a smaller baby bib that would fit the Lots to Love Babies 14" Doll instead of adapting the pattern I'd used with the JC Toys 16-inch Soft Baby Dolls .

Notes:

Baby yarn created a very small bib so I moved up to worsted weight 4 yarn. I also added a few rows to the body of the bib to make it long enough. I added the trim and then used the trim yarn to make the ties.
