Turkey Leg Dishcloth

Still working on replenishing my holiday dishcloths. Today we have another free Yarnspirations pattern found here.

I still have their turkey one I made many years ago but I rather liked the texture on this one. It makes for a good cleaning experience.

This was made with Peaches and Cream yarn and an H hook. I used an off white yarn rather than the suggested Jute. My goal where ever possible is to use up the cotton I have on hand to reduce a stash I don't often use rather than to buy more random colors. I'm sure there will be that project that I can find a substitute color to make but my hope is that some of this yarn will be living in my kitchen and not my stash.

Valentine Heart Dishcloth

I love holiday dishcloths and pot holders. It is a quick and easy way to decorate and quite practical. This is another pattern from Month by Month Dishcloths. While I'd like the heart to be a little rounder, I love the color blends and most especially the flower. I can see me using the flower for other projects as it is quite pretty and works up quickly and easily.

This was a gift, but I'm already getting another one on the hooks for my own house. I hope to have a selection of Valentine's dishcloths done before the holiday hits.

Reindeer Dishcloth

As I mentioned before it is always best to get pictures before something is washed and used. However, it is always better to take pictures than forget you made something so after is my only alternative this year.

Years ago Maggie's crochet had a contest for dishcloth patterns and they were offered free to download. I downloaded and printed tons of them as they had a huge range of holiday and just interesting patterns. Sadly and perhaps realistically these are now offered only as sale patterns. If you like the pattern you can purchase it in her Christmas holiday patterns here.
