American Girl Doctor

Along with historical outfits there is no reason why the dolls should not have professional outfits, too. This pattern was also a Christmas gift. It is called Just Like My Hero Doctor and available for purchase here. The pattern worked up quickly using worsted weight yarn.

I have promised myself that I would get started on my Easter amigurumi projects at the end of January, as Easter falls in March this year. I thought for sure I would be more than ready to surrender my doll projects. However, I think for the first time it might be hard to stop. I have finally learned how to work with thread and have completed my first thread item that I will be blogging about soon. At the same time, I am working on another new idea, an item using bulky yarn. There are lots of fun new challenges. However, those cute bunnies are also hard to resist. I have some wonderful new patterns I got last year to tempt me away from my dolls at the end of the month.

This would be so cute to do in different colors for nurses and vets!

You are so talented and creative! Did you learn to do this on your own or were you taught by someone?

Thanks for the compliment. I used lots of children's books to learn. My Aunt helped me when I hit the hard spots.
