Crochet Thanksgiving Dinner
I made this turkey dinner pattern about 2 years ago without the salt and pepper shakers do to time issues for the annual toy donation. I added crochet play food to the dolls that year. I always intended to get back to making it to send as part of the Thanksgiving holiday box but as with all things time is a factor and it didn't get finished. This year after I finished the Halloween box it was one of the first patterns I pulled out to work on for the Thanksgiving box. You can purchase the pattern here if you are interested.
For those of you who wonder about my pattern notes they do come in handy. I followed the suggested hook size, e the first time I made this for the donation and left myself a note in the project blog that a g hook would work better. Having tried this the second time through with the g hook I agre. I also reversed direction when making the orange top section of the sweet potato. I liked the look of that better than when I continued in the round in the direction of the bottom of the potato.
This dinner includes the turkey, cranberry sauce, a sweet potato, and asparagus, although I would think they could also pass for green beans.

How cute is that? You're so talented! Thanks so much for linking up with me at my #UnlimitedMonthlyLinkParty 18, open until November 26.
This is adorable! I love that it is a safe way for kids all ages to play with 'toy' food.
Looks delicious! What great fun :-)
