Pumpkitty Pie
I was searching for pie patterns to add to my Thanksgiving box when I ran into this cute little free pattern you can find here.
This was a great opportunity to work on using up the sport weight cotton I had left over from making the Halloween hot pads. I've since picked up some brown because I want to make some Thanksgiving hot pads adapting the pattern from the Halloween ones so I used some of that for the pie section.
We never had cats growing up but we had more than one incident with wild animals ending up in food left outside to cool off during holiday cooking. This pattern made me laugh as I was thinking of some of those incidents when I saw the kitty in the pie.
This calls for a 2.5 hook, I used my b hook and I was pleased with the outcome.
